Giant Leap were brought in to cut an extended version of the Sky Sports broadcasted pilot and to create an animated DVD with extra features such as POV in-car footage. We were spoilt for choice in terms of bonus material with plenty of super slow-motion footage shot with Sprintcam Live V2 and hours of exhilarating in-car action. We also created a website to promote the DVD complete with an integrated QuickTime trailer.

Officer Kicks
Officer Kicks are one of the hardest working bands around, constantly perfecting an electric live rock’n’roll show and crafting studio records that stand
up to the greats.
Accessible and turned off by pretension, the band employ an ethos of inclusion, building a following through relentless touring and a solid online presence since their conception. The video, directed by Stuart Lanceley of Token films was a really interesting project to be involved in. We provided equipment hire for the production as well as Nick Padley in the guise of cinematographer.
Wella Professionals Education Reel
Wella were looking for a slick video presentation tool that would create awareness and excitement around their new WE Education brand.
It needed to strengthen the new Wella image as well as convey the value they placed in education. It was also imperative that it would assist their sales team. Giant Leap created a three minute video that used a combination of live action footage and eye popping 3D graphics.
The team relied on a broad knowledge of different software packages to design and track text, edit and colour live show footage and utilised an online preview system that allowed Wella representatives to quickly view progress and suggest any amendments that needed looking at. This allowed us to go from concept to finished product swiftly and made sure Wella got the video they had envisaged back when they commissioned the work. Good times.
Fairy Liquid Clean and Care Flash Campaign
Giant Leap were recently approached to shoot green screen content
for a Fairy Liquid Flash banner campaign. The banner required keyed out footage of
a model’s hands to be incorporated into a 2D banner that was composited in Adobe Flash for placement on such websites as Glamour, Cosmopolitan and MSN. The footage was filmed in DVCPROHD and edited in Final Cut Pro with keying and grading courtesy of Adobe After Effects. This was then incorporated into a series of graphical layers that had been created using Adobe Photoshop. The project was turned over very quickly due to severe time constraints and resulted in a highly innovative web banner that took animation to the next level through incorporation of cleverly keyed and compressed video content.
A Matter of Time
"A Matter of Time" is the first short film to have been made through the Giant Leap Production short film programme. The 16 minute short was written by Christopher P Taylor and shot in 3 days with an extremely lean crew!

Reebok Street Athletics 2007
Street Athletics is an amazing project now in its fourth year. It has seen thousands of young people taking part in races across the country. Linford Christie and Darren Campbell share the same vision, to break down the significant barriers which prevent youngsters from believing in their own talents and not having the confidence in their futures to set even the smallest
ambitions. Having such big names involved in the project has had a big impact on participation levels and Street Athletics wanted a way to truly inject the presence of such names to their website. They used our green screen video product, Walkonweb in order to integrate a walking, talking Linford Christie on the home page of their website, which would greet visitors as thy landed on their home page. The punchy and charismatic video was streamed in Flash in order to maximise speed and usability of their website and proved to be a big hit. To find out more about Walkonweb click here.

The Voluntary & Community Sector (VCS) is considered to be uniquely placed to be able to engage those groups furthest from the labour market, such as long term unemployed people, women returners, Black and Ethnic Minority (BME) groups, and people with disabilities. We shot a series of video interviews in order for Voluntary Action Wakefield District to showcase all the great work that was being done by the VCS groups involved in delivering the project.
Technogym MiFit
Technogym is a world leader in the design of fitness equipment for fitness facilities, hotels, spas, rehabilitation centres, corporate gyms, universities, professional sports facilities, private homes and beyond.
Giant Leap were recently approached to help them develop a tutorial video that would provide an overview of their new Wellness System product. We provided a video that incorporated visuals of the product with motion graphics that clearly and concisely outlined the key benefits of the system. The video was also developed in mind of being displayed on the fitness machines themselves in addition to being provided in DVD format and as streaming video. This was a great opportunity to create a multi-platform video for an incredibly well known brand.
